Epiphany is driven to bring the definitive taste of Caribbean Cooking, and the complete enjoyment of food to Toronto and environs. Food for us is more than the sum of ingredients. It’s what binds friends, communities. Food brings us all together.
The goal of our Director, Phyllis James has always been to provide the very best possible menu choices, but with a flavour and twist that is unique. She always believed that great food is the foundation. Once the taste was established, it was time to grow beyond, and take the Epiphany flavour beyond Steeles, and across Ontario.
We take great pride in the food we prepare, from attention to detail to choosing the perfect ingredients; lots of love goes into every bite.
The atmosphere, the friendly interaction, the good food has become the signature of Epiphany. You do not just eat food. You savour it! You love it! You share it! It’s a whole body experience, that you get, only at Epiphany.
Phyllis James
Food & Catering Co-ordinator
Phyllis James is the visionary and effervescent proprietress of Epiphany foods restaurant. Phyllis’ warm smile, love of social interactivity and natural hospitality grew out of her Caribbean roots.
Born on the island of Jamaica, she developed a love of tasty, well seasoned Caribbean cuisines from a mother that shared a love of good eating. In ’69 Phyllis migrated to Canada. Thus began the next phase in the evolution of the Woman who is the driving force behind the Epiphany experience.
When you meet Phyllis, you experience Epiphany. Current. Vivacious. Aware. A true renaissance woman, and the restaurant captures the essence of who she is.
Phyllis is at it every day putting a personal touch on every morsel.
We cater to all types of special events including: parties, weddings, business luncheons & other corporate events, family gatherings, non-profit meal programs, school meal programs.
